Trails! Solo! I had intended to get an earlier start, but I ended up getting to kite road just before 8a. I ran into a childhood/running friend, who is an ultra runner. Let's just say she was on a recovery week running 90mins. Anyway, I took off down the blue trail which is one of my favorites and enjoyed the natural A/C the woods provide. I ran across a couple mountain bikers, but other than that it was pretty quiet. After getting around 7mi on the blue trail, I headed back to my car for a pit stop. I got some water/gatorade and toweled off the sweat and decided to go for more. I opted to run the Tour de Wolf, backwards. Well backwards to me. I decided that I should get the worst part of the run, the part not in the woods, done early because I new as time crept on, it was only going to get warmer out. I had to stop a couple of times to catch my breath, but cranked it out back to my car. 14mi even. I had a chuckle to myself about that. It was muggy. I was super sweaty, but overall, I was proud that I busted out 14mi on the trails at a decent pace.
